Gutless

Ok, here it goes.

This is it.

I guess I'm going to publicize it.

I'm going to give a step-by-step guide on how to not follow your gut because if you do,

you may end up sitting alone looking for a clue.

You'll wonder how you lost yourself and who you really are.

You'll wonder where to go from here and how to even start.

You'll wake up one day so far from where you've come that you won't know which way to turn

or even where you're from.

You'll question if you're mistaken and if you've really given it all your gump.

Then after the anger, dissappointment, and guilt subsides, you'll realize you can jump.

You can, with one big bounce, make your way out.

There's a slight glimmer of hope and a little bit of light while you contemplate redesigning your life.

What would that look like?

Where would you go?

What would you do?

What would you add?

What would you lose?

Who would you meet?

And what would await you on this glorious new plan drawn from faith?

Will you follow it through?

Wish it to be true?

Or will you wait till it's too late?

Till the seasons change and love becomes old.

Till your hair turns grey and your heart turns cold.

Will you think you have eternity to change or will you light now the flame of your new path ablaze?

Hello?

Do you hear me out there?

Have you decided yet if you're going to follow the risk of your gut again or will you play it safe?
